It gave near irrefutable evidence that Scott did not commit these crimes, that there was a mysterious "fixer" and led the reader to believe answers were forthcoming and yet, it ended with more questions than answers. Who committed these crimes, why did it happen?The corruption of the Sheriff's office, it's deputies, appear without question to be guilty of much, but why were these crimes not properly investigated? I'm at a loss, I don't believe Scott did it either. I feel the most sympathy for Scott's father and step-mother, to go through what they did and still deal with lawsuits.I can't believe the state didn't intervene, an FBI person was quoted, why weren't agencies brought in to clean up the law there and find the real killer or killers. It's hard to believe in this day and age there could be so much corruption. And lack of investigation and closure. I'm stunned.

It is next to unfathomable that a murder/suicide case such as this turn out the way this case did. You wish this weren't true, but unfortunately, it is.

This book jumped around too much, too confusing. !! No answers too the crimes. Too much legal jargon. Cannot understand why outside climatologists didn't step in and take over. The story could have been interesting, but too confusing.

Knowing Rob made me want to read this book. After the the first few chapters, I was hooked! Intriguing story.

Read in one day. Mr. St. Clair did an excellent job of telling the sad, and tragic story of the Shafer/Moody family massacre. I was appalled that one town could have such a corrupt sheriff's department. I for one do not believe that Scott Moody shot his family. Too bad his innocence can't be proved in court as a way to clear his name. Happy that Stacy survived and went on to live a normal life.

I couldn’t put this one down and it haunted me for days after I had finished it. Such a sad, but vivid tale from my home state. The author expertly wove together this complicated story to bring justice for the Moody family in a way the legal system failed to. Great work and a must read!

Every American should read this book...then you will know what our soldiers went through in fighting a very different enemy, dealing with 'their territory'..living in their territory and dodging IEDS..this is detailed daily war friends. I'm a grandmother, 71 years old, and a patriot. I remember details on my parents talking about WWII. This is so different now. As we are seeing through ISIS, Paris murders, beheadings...we are in a religious war people. Now Marcus is a young man who can put you in the streets, in the barracks and on their missions, so you know what it is like..you as an American owe this young man who represents all his dead or alive brothers in combat , to read this book!! Plus I hope I'm gone when we see this country going to murders in the streets, etc. Beware..

I first read "Lone Survivor" right after it came out and reread it twice since then. I've also read "SEAL of Honor" about Lt. Murphy (not by Marcus Luttrell). When this book came out I had to see what Luttrell had to share about his experience after Operation Red Wings (or Redwing... never did figure out which is correct).I've given this book five stars because it is excellent reading for anyone interested in this topic. He tells us a lot about the participation of other services in the Middle East conflicts and praises the efforts of those other service members. Sometimes it seems there is no one assigned to that area who isn't outstanding in his opinion. Still, respect for the efforts of others is not a bad thing and his constant high praise it the worse thing I can say about this book. I'm sure there are those to be criticized but he keeps that out of this book and that to his credit and shows his professionalism.As a twenty-two year veteran of the Navy I very much enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.I would strongly recommend this book to anyone interested in

I picked up this book simply because I finished Lone Survivor wanting to know more. I was not disappointed. The last 1/3 of the book is devoted to filling in the details of the massive operation and all the people who worked to rescue Luttrell. Including the story of Muhammad Gulab after Redwings; what happened as a result of helping and his visit to the USA. This part of the book alone is worth it to round out the story of Lone Survivor. However, the treatment he gives of SEAL operations in Iraq should be told. He tells not just of the hard work and risk of the SEALS to take back their assigned area of Iraq back from terrorists, but the contributions of the other branches he served along side - including local Iraqis. This is the story of Iraq that we did not get in the media. If you want to know more about operations in Iraq, details of the rescue operation, or Muhammad Gulab then get this book.

I read this after reading Lone Survivor. One cannot fully understand the meaning of The Brotherhood. However after reading this you will certainly have an appreciation for it, how deep and all encompassing it is. How men with such skill, integrity and honor will always be at the ready for each and every one of his brother's and their families.Life after service is a difficult transition and Marcus addresses this with acute clarity that really drives home what that transition encompasses.He brings you with him after his survival from the hell on the mountain. You learn about the pivotal role US forces had in turning the tides of a city and way of thinking from that of hatred for our presence there to that of understanding and teamwork by the local citizens to free themselves from the terror and oppression by the enemy.VERY well written and I feel honored that Marcus has chosen to share his experiences with everyone.I recommend this book to anyone who has or is serving, has family in the Armed Forces and to every American.

Dr. Burton S. Schuler is a graduated of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and has been in private practice since 1984. He is the author of The Agony of De-Feet (1982.) He has written for Collier's Encyclopedia and various podiatric journals and publications and been interviewed by The New York Times, Cosmopolitan, and First in Women, and has appeared on dozens of radio and television programs. In 1994, Dr. Schuler and his staff became the first podiatric facility in the south to be accredited as a pain program, for the treatment of painful conditions of the feet. He has been a Diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management, the National Board of Podiatric Examiners, and the American Academy of Wound Management. Three years ago I developed plantar fasciitis in both feet and despite my relentless efforts to fix it, things only got worse and worse. I spent well over 3 thousand dollars on gadgets and doctor visits. I did everything the doctors ever told me to do, short stretching sessions, marathon stretching sessions, massaging, boots, cortizone shots, laser, shoe inserts, warm water soaking three times a day etc.I read this book in one afternoon, because let's face it, what the heck else was I going to do? I couldn't go anywhere and enjoy myself. I couldn't even sit and work at my computer for more than twenty minutes. After I finished the book I limped to my car and headed to the pharmacy to pick up about $9 worth of supplies. I limped home, sat back on the couch, made my first splint and taped it to the bottom of my foot.I then got up off the couch and walked across the room like it was nothing. I hadn't done that in years. I cried.Of course my feet were sore for several days after, as my foot and leg muscles adjusted after 37 years of improper weight distribution. But I haven't had a single sharp shooting pain since. It seems I'm well on my way to total recovery. I absolutely can't believe it. Thank you, doctor. A thousand thank yous

I have had issues with my foot for years! I saw 4 different podiatrists and one wanted to do surgery immediately and one said within a year I'd need surgery. I didn't care for any of them. I got this book and this doctor is awesome. Such a simple remedy without surgery. I went to Walmart and bought the slip in soles and cut the little pad as directed and needed a quarter placed as he shows in this book. I am so grateful for an HONEST doctor to have written this self care book on hurting feet! I wish we lived closer to him, I'd be a patient for sure.Oh, by the way I was in physical therapy for something else and casually brought up the fact that my foot was always hurting, so my P.T. said slip off your shoes and socks and let's have a look. Her first words well that's because you have Morton's toe! She went into great detail on the problems associated with Morton's toe! No podiatrist has ever told me anything about Morton's toe. I am forever grateful that my P.T. set me on the path to rectify this painful foot issue.GREAT book, and simple solution!

I wore hard soled dress shoes for 30 years and never had any real foot problems until the last 5 years or so of that 30 years. During that last 5 years, the balls of my feet started to hurt some, but not enough to seek medical help. After retiring, I stopped wearing the dress shoes and started wearing soft soled shoes with good quality comfortable inserts and good quality socks (not too thick and not too thin). This worked for 4 years or so until the balls of my feet started really to hurt and I started to experience some numbness in the balls of my feet.So, after some research, I found Dr. Schuler's book and realized that I had Morton's Toe (more so on my left foot). My left foot was also experiencing more pain and numbness than my right foot, which confirmed even more the information in the book. I am 6 foot tall and weigh 165 pounds, so I'm not really putting extra weight on my feet, nor do I have any moderate or serious medical conditions.I used the good fitting shoes I already had with good athletic-like full shoe insole inserts and added the toe pads with the extra inserts as described in chapter 8. The toe pads and additional inserts I made are made from black 1/4" adhesive backed foam rubber I found on eBay. This worked fantastic, and once these pads are attached, they are there permanent (the adhesive is very good).At first, the toe pad didn't make sense to me, since I wanted to put padding under all of the painful joints across the bottom of my foot, not just under the big toe joint. However, placing the pad only under the big toe joint, this joint is repositioned to bear the proper amount of load/stress.I don't know about Dr. Schuler's other ideas/claims on Morton's Toe related to the host of other bodily pains and conditions.... but it doesn't matter, using this toe pad orthotic worked wonders for me.Thank you, thank you, thank you Dr. Schuler!

I was excited that my book for school was here so quick, but I thought the box was a little small. The book inside was definitely the wrong book. I think someone is missing a travel guide to the Canadian Rockies :) Returning this tomorrow. I hope the real book comes just as quick. I will do a review when my book arrives.

Awful, just awful. My wife has to use this for her computer class. Nobody is happy about using this material. They have a two week trial. Take a textbook that feels like a reference manual, put it online. Now don't add any useful features like all the other online courses have by now. No interactive features, or offline versions. Now reduce the video quality like it's 1998. The "high" quality looks worse than DVD, and no where near HD quality. Also make sure the gain on the microphone is set way too high so it sounds like it was recorded on a laptop by an amateur pod caster. Now you have this "MindTap Computing" course.

My kids love singing songs from their favorite movies. I was glad this had some old and some of the newer movies, but doesn't have Moana etc.. But does have Frozen (just to give you a time from of years). The notes on most of the songs are good, but really basic. There were a couple of songs however that were way too simplified and did not sound like the song at all. Also not all the songs have all the verses or all the lyrics. It's simplified. So that is why I took away 1 star. Also the chords on the top are fun, but it's not really descriptive of where to put them, so it's harder for a beginning kid to necessarily use them for the bottom hand. Over all though, we've loved this book and have been able to use it for what we've wanted. My daughter even started trying to use the notes for "Do you want to build a Snowman" on her recorder. It sounded pretty good.

My kids are just starting to learn to play the piano, and these are great for beginners, especially those just learning to read notes while playing. They love it that they can play familiar songs, songs that they always hear on their favorite movies, so that's a huge plus. I myself had been in hiatus for more than 20 years, and I liked that I can still play using the simple songs in here (started when I was 15, stopped when I was 17, so am not really a pro, but still misses playing once in a while).Only problem is that the book appears so worn out now, as this has been the favorite in the house since we got it 5 months ago. They liked it so much they brought the book to neighbors to share to kids their age who are also just starting to learn piano (from Youtube). Great purchase for me, but I am going to photocopy their favorite pieces so the book stays intact.

Best beginners piano book. Simple notes with the letters printed on each note and chords with pictures at the top of the page to show how to play each chord. Anybody can learn to play the piano using this book.

Well made, it's great to have an option for my son to learn Disney Songs on the piano as a beginner student!

Granddaughter is taking lessons and a big fan of Disney so this was perfect for her. She's seven

It can be a delicate matter reviewing books that involve sacred texts and holy people. Let me be clear: this is a review of Muhammad the biography. It is not a review of Muhammad the Prophet.The author Martin Lings was a Muslim convert and Arabic speaker who spent formative years in Cairo and earned a Ph.D. on Sufism at SOAS University of London in 1959. He had a brief career overseeing eastern manuscripts at the British Museum and Library. This biography of Muhammad was written in 1983 and received prizes from governments in Pakistan and Egypt, as well as international acclaim from Muslims and non-Muslims alike.Pros:~This book covers most major events in the life of the Prophet, or at least those that I am aware of~It doesn't omit controversial events such as child marriage, caravan raiding, execution of enemies and ransom of captives~It is exciting and rendered in its unadulterated original form; angels fight alongside the believers in their battles with infidels~It follows a clearly presented and consecutively narrated timeline without digression into the author's opinionsCons:~The book offers no modern critique; miracles happen and in fact are unremarkable~It provides few dates; perhaps some are found in the footnotes missing from the ebook~It declines any discussion of theological context; the past century of study goes unnoticed by Lings~It uses anachronistic English quoting people of the period; thee, thou and smiting thine foes aboundsIn Sum:~ It is a standard synopsis of the life of the Prophet, as told the Quran, Hadith and Sira, in a unified work~ It doesn't include any analysis of the historical setting or of the textual content of the sources~ It is an acceptable introduction if followed with more discerning books by Watt, Donner, ​and others

Be aware that the Kindle edition is littered with typographical errors, at the rate of several per page. It is not difficult to deduce the original word in most cases but it is rather annoying that there are so many errors. If I had known this was not an original version of the book I would not have paid the asking price.

Digital edition is not good. There is no table of contents, and most of the chapters are not numbered. There are also many, many mistakes in the spelling of the words, which are not in the hard copy of the Lings book--I know, because I have both versions. Definitely easier on the eyes reading on the Kindle--one can make the print larger--so that is nice. But the digital version is harder to read because of the spelling errors, so it is not worth the $6.00, or at least should be less.

One of the best and authentic bio on the last prophet of Islam. A must read for anyone looking for a good understanding without getting too scholarly or academic. Easy and interesting read.

By far my favorite book! Well written and highly engaging. Perfect for both Muslims and non Muslims for better understanding.

Because of the old sourcing plus translation of the material the writing style is dated. But it was interesting to see this biographical info from a friendly source who wasn't trying to dump on Islam.
