Quite a mix of compelling and irrelevant content in my opinion. The author extends his discussion of the evolving financial services landscape to include arguable digressions of anthropology and sociology - topics the author does not credibly advance. Most discouraging is his promise of digital’s role in bringing forth cures to social ills such as inequality and poverty as if the human heart plays no role. Any student of history would find these claims fanciful at best.

Must read for anyone in Banking. Very clear on the immediate need to modernize technology.

This is a great read and makes you realize where we are heading as a society. The internet and AI are changing the way we live and connecting us with so many new people across the planet.I really liked the Case History at the end of the book and the Jack Ma story and how business in China and India has different challenges. Those of us in the West really need to look into what is going on in these other nations because they could very well overtake us very rapidly...

I was fortunate enough to receive an early copy of Skinner's latest book, Digital Human and totally enjoyed it. His coverage of the impact of digital transformation on banking, communications and ecommerce is excellent. The stories from his travels provide both excellent examples and a perspective that only he can offer. Most of all, I enjoyed his very deep inside look into Ant Financial and Alibaba. A must read for anyone interested in how new technologies will impact humanity.

Years ago I asked myself the exact title of this book. I was newly out of college and promoted to a leadership role managing a department of 50 employees. I had little to no formal leadership training and relied on traits of leaders I had come across in my past. Over the last 4 years I have first hand experience that has drilled many of the values and skills written about in this book into my mind and into my daily management strategy. A great deal of this book rang true for me and with each passing chapter I found myself taking more and more notes and developing ideas of how to change my management style for the better. I recommend this title to any soon to be or new leaders as well as those looking to spark a renewed spring in their leadership step.

The leadership principles can be applied through your entire career and it’s never too early to learn and practice them! This is a quick read which is great for busy students that have a lot on their mind. Reading this book will put you one step ahead of your peers and perhaps it opens your mind to reading other literature on the subject. I’ll edit my above statement, it’s never too early [or too late] to learn and practice the leadership principles explained in this book.

Most leadership books focus on the older, workplace experienced leaders. These are leaders that find themselves in a leadership role after years of excelling in their technical functions. They too are often unprepared.However, in this book, Chris Molina has taken the leadership challenge a notch higher. Here the leadership lessons start at the student level. There are not too many books available on the market that focus on nurturing leadership skills at this early stage. The teachings provided in this book will position the student leader not just for this early role but will come in handy in the students' future careers.As an author, Chris comes across as one that is very passionate about the subject of leadership, and it shows through the testimonials and the real-life examples that he has referred to throughout the book.I would highly recommend the book for any aspiring student leader out there.

Chris has time and time again proven himself as an effective leader. Now, we all have to opportunity to see how. It’s a quick, easy read with big impact that even our more seasoned leaders could benefit from.

For me, managing people or projects straight out of college seemed daunting for someone who had no formal leadership training. Reading this has definitely helped me understand the team dynamics and how to effectively lead any amount of people through a process.Overall I'd definitely recommend it!
